Ingredient List:

  • 2 oz Rye Whiskey or Cognac
  • ¼ oz Simple Syrup
  • 2-3 dashes of Angostura Aromatic Bitters
  • 2-3 dashes of Peychaud’s Bitters
  • Absinthe 


Add roughly ½ oz of absinthe to a rocks glass and place the glass in the freezer to chill. 

Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass, and add ice. Using a bar spoon, stir the cocktail for 7-10 seconds until properly chilled and diluted. Remove the chilled glass from the freezer, and rinse the absinthe around the inside to coat, then dump it out. Strain the cocktail into the glass, and express the back of a lemon peel over the drink, twist, and place into the glass for garnish (or discard). Cheers!
