Reverse Monte Manhattan

With a typical Manhattan you use two parts Rye Whiskey and 1 part Amaro, or more classically one part sweet vermouth. The Manhattan, however, has been transformed by a lot of bartenders over the years to create new styles and flavors, like this Chile Manhattan.

In this cocktail, I use Amaro Montenegro instead of sweet vermouth and rather than the standard 2 parts Rye, I reverse it. 2 parts Amaro and 1 part Rye. This creates a much more aromatic drink that is a little smoother, lower in alcohol content, and very fun to sip on.
